Standing Guard

The Watchman, the Garden and the Foxes

I heard the Lord saying, "Let ripeness determine readiness."

A Vision: The Watchman, the Garden and the Foxes

I see a watchman at the gate staring into a vineyard with awe-inspiring wonder. His eyes are filled with the excitement of all that is growing within the lush and bountiful dwelling place he has tended with the Lord.

To his back are a multitude of starving foxes laying in the desert. The waves of fresh fruit on the vine awaken them from their languishing idleness. Yes, they are sent into a fury at the scent of the watchman's garden. The foxes are poised to slip past the defenses of the vineyard—if the watchman does not let his ripeness determine his readiness.

"I have done this so that we may not be taken advantage of by satan. For we are not ignorant of his schemes." (2 Corinthians 2:11 HCSB)

Have you ever noticed that when you are going deep into new places with the Lord that you seem to be derailed by an onslaught from the enemy? Have you noticed at the moment of bearing fruit with God that you are often met with an hour of difficulty?

This is all because the enemy wastes none of his limited time on dead vineyards. He does not seek to destroy fruitless gardens. The enemy has trained himself to only pursue the destruction of the true fruit belonging to righteousness and revelation. Let this encourage you! Foxes want to raid ripe vineyards. Your garden is blooming and your life is bearing fruit and so you must allow your ripeness to determine your readiness.

Catch the Foxes - Fight the Good Fight!

Many in the Body of Christ are coming into a great harvest sown in intimacy with the Lord. So let this word ring in your ears: "Let your ripeness determine your readiness!" Keep your eyes on the gate and continue at your post as you stay off the weak and feeble foxes that are starving for your fruit.

Hear your Bridegroom King saying, "Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom." (Song of Songs 2:15 ESV)

The season of reformation is upon us. Many are returning to the Word and placing their trust in the truth of the holy Scriptures while abandoning the legalistic traditions of men. Be on your guard and only let the Lord speak into your identity as the pure Bride of Christ.

There is so much the Lord wants to show us in this hour but we will not see it if we are continually replanting the things just for the enemy to pull back up. Protect the garden that God has planted within you by fighting the good fight of faith. This fight is to believe what Jesus has done. To believe that it is all sufficient for us.

Christ's Spirit Ripens Our Garden

The finished work of Jesus Christ is the only work worth fighting for. We need to abandon frivolous pursuits that do not have their root in the consummation of Christ on the Cross. We must become a people who resolve, "...to know nothing (to be acquainted with nothing, to make a display of the knowledge of nothing, and to be conscious of nothing) among you except Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and Him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2 AMPC)

Our portion and our provision, our protection and our posture is all in Christ, for Christ, from Christ and to Christ. There is no room for self-effort. Our sanctification has already been done in Him! Our fruit is due to His sacrifice and His resurrection!

You were sanctified and justified in Christ: "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 ESV)

It is His Spirit that ripens our gardens and it is our privilege to protect its purity. Let us be the watchmen that see the foxes afar off and destroy their attempts before they begin. Let the harvester overtake the sower and let the peace of Heaven rule and reign in our lives.

The Lord wants us to be rooted in love and established in Him. We need to receive the prophetic promises outlined in Scripture. We need to receive the fruit of Christ's labor and let it be enough for us!

"All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you." (Isaiah 54:13-15 ESV)

Stand at the gate with your eyes towards the horizon. Let your garden continue to bloom and do your diligence in simply receiving the bounty of the Cross.

Let your ripeness determine your readiness. Reformation is coming.

this vision is from a worship missionary, and pastor in Tampa, Fl. named Caleb Hyers.
It was so a right now word I had to add it to my blog.  I did the picture and verse on it today so please study these words by a seer in the faith.  We all have different gifting's and the word says to covet earnestly the best gifts: 1 Cor 12 - 31
We are a body of Christ, and members in particular! 1 Cor 12 - 27.
